Traffic Alert – Durham Road

Park Construction of NC, Inc., a contractor working on behalf of the City of Raleigh Public Utilities Department (CORPUD), will reduce to one lane with intermittent two-way traffic the portion of Durham Road/NC 98 from South Wingate Street to Tyler Run Drive, from Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9. The lane closure will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The temporary lane closure is necessary to allow crews to adjust water valves and make minor asphalt repairs as part of the Richland Creek Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Project.

No detours will be posted, but flaggers will be in place to manage traffic flow and safely direct traffic through the work area. The contractor will maintain entrances and exits to local residents and their properties.

The Richland Creek Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Project is one of the City of Raleigh’s Capital Improvement Projects designed to improve the Town of Wake Forest service area water system.
